Vision Group Chief Executive Officer Don Wanyama has urged farmers across the country to attend the consequential three-day Harvest Money Expo scheduled to commence on Friday at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds.
Wanyama says the expo will focus on teaching Ugandans how to make money from agriculture.
According to the CEO, who made the remarks during a meeting between exhibitors and expo officials at Vision Group offices in Kampala on Wednesday (February 8), they want people to make money, get better and improve their lives through agriculture.
“We want people to make money, get better, and improve their lives through agriculture,” Wanyama said.
He added that attendees will be able to learn about new enterprises and recent innovations in agriculture in regard to technology and product making.
Sponsors
The company’s CEO also unleashed new sponsors for the three-day event and stated that the expo would be meaningless without sponsors and exhibitors.
Among the mentioned sponsors are the Bank of Uganda, Parish Development Model (PDM), Private Sector Foundation of Uganda, DFCU Bank, aBi Development and the Uganda Investment Authority.
Biggest farming expo
Wanyama beseeched people across the country to attend the expo so they could learn what is trending in agriculture.
“This is the biggest farming expo in the country that focuses on commercialising farming. Come and see where you can get money to finance your agricultural businesses,” he said.
An estimated 25,000 to 30,000 people are expected to attend the expo that starts on Friday.
