Ronald Ainebyona, a nutritionist at Lufuka Clinic in Namasuba, a Kampala neighbourhood, says it is very safe to eat tomatoes in moderate quantities for pregnant women.
“Research shows that it is completely safe to eat tomatoes every day. They have low calories and have a high water content. Tomatoes also contain vitamin c to take care of 40% of your required daily intake,” he says.
