I recently shared a recipe (goat stew) which I served with an orange creamsicle smoothie. The truth is that having a meal as heavy as goat stew and ugali and taking a smoothie for a drink could be a bad idea. Ideally, a lemonade or red wine would have worked just fine as it helps cut through fat. But, no one has ever died from enjoying a good meal without having to worry about any health issues that may arise from breaking a few rules. If you are the type with a good appetite and loves to have an adventure with food then you might want to try out the stew with the smoothie. Today I will be sharing the recipe for the smoothie. The drink is a quick fix that should not take more than 40 minutes. If you eat small amounts of food, then the smoothie might be just enough for you.
Ingredients
1 cup soymilk (or diary milk)
1 cup frozen orange segments
Instructions
Combine soymilk and orange segments in a blender and blend at high speed until frothy and smooth. This should take you about 45 minutes. You may also add ice cubes to your drink or blend them with the oranges if you wish.
Serve.
