My followers requested me to write about preparing fried fish, so I thought I should share a fish recipe today. This is one of the keto dishes I prepare and enjoy a lot on this diet, but one does not have to be on diet to enjoy it.
One can also substitute the cream with coconut cream for the flavour and the rest of the ingredients are pretty flexible. The cheese is optional, but it would be nice if one kept it on one’s list. The meal is tastier with cheese.
Preparation
1. Fillet the fish (or buy fish fillet if you do not want to go through the hassle).
2. Season the fillet with salt, paprika and pepper.
3. Melt the butter on a grill pan and sear the fish, until it is golden brown on both sides; about 3 minutes on each side.
4. Remove the fish from the pan and put on the side. Use the remaining butter in the pan to sauté the onions and garlic, followed by the cream and cheese.
5. Add the fish back to the sauce and spoon the cream sauce over it.
6. Let it simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes before serving.
