Parts of southwestern and central Uganda should expect more rain as drier conditions settle on other parts of Uganda, according to the Uganda National Meteorological Authority (UNMA).
UNMA’s weather analyst, Abubakar Kalema said: “Southern western should expect more rain than other parts of the country. Karamoja is likely to be drier than other parts of the country.”
Kalema also said that parts of central Uganda should also expect to experience more rain and that the rest of the country should expect drier conditions.
This, according to Kalema, is consistent with earlier predictions in the seasonal weather forecast also referred to as September, October, November, and December weather outlook.
The seasonal weather forecast predicted wetter conditions in September and October than in November and December for most parts of the country.
He also advised farmers to continue weeding their farmland and conserve water as drier conditions advance in Uganda.
He adeded that a detailed weather forecast for 10 days would be released before November 1, 2022.
