More than usual rainfall is forecast is predicted for Uganda, according to the weekly weather forecast released by ICPAC on November 1, 2022.
ICPAC is the Climate Prediction and Application Centre, which operates under the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD).
The prediction centre is a Climate Center accredited by the World Meteorological Organisation that provides Climate Services to 11 East African Countries.
The services aim at creating resilience in a region deeply affected by climate change and extreme weather. The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Climate Prediction and Application Centre.
“Moderate rainfall (50-200mm) expected over Uganda,” stated ICPAC in the two-page weather forecast.
The report said wetter than usual conditions are expected over central to northern Uganda.
Very heavy rainfall is expected over parts of southwestern Uganda.
