Dig a pit near the cow shelter to trap urine. Urine is scooped from the pit and poured in a drum until it reaches 1/3 of the drum.
The solution is then mixed with water to the brim. Other ingredients to include in the solution are ash and plant material such as red pepper, kamyu (a common skin irritating herb) and garlic.
The drums are covered for a period of 21 days. Red pepper and garlic are added because they are known pest repellents. There is no specific quantity, however, the amount of ingredients could only be limited by the size of the drum.
The mixture is ready for use after 21 days.
