Joash Senteza left the Harvest Money Expo 2025 with full hands after he got all he wanted. The seven-year-old was happy as he exited Mandela National Stadium, Namboole through the Western gate with his father.
He had fruit tree seedlings, suckers and cassava stems which his father says were cheap compared to the outside market.
But also, Senteza says, they visited different stalls and learnt a lot about animal rearing, plants, machines and agricultural products.
Vision Group’s Harvest Money Expo 2025 was attended by over 20,000 people and 220 exhibitors. It was held at Mandela National Stadium Namboole from February 14-16. Many parents were in tow with their children, some as young as three years.

Senteza is a pupil of St. Joseph Elite Junior School and he says; “I have seen some of the animals and plants we are taught in class. Goats, pigs, rabbits and chicken were looking good.”
Senteza aspires to become a farmer and pastor when he grows up. When asked why, he says; “I enjoy praying for people but many families don’t have food. From farming, you get food and money to care for such people.”
Besides, he adds; “I also enjoy planting things and seeing them grow. I feel good when I am harvesting with my father. He gets a lot of money from his garden.”
Senteza’s father is a resident of Bweyogerere near Namboole and he grows jackfruit, matooke and beans.
To Senteza, it is good for children to engage in farming which is a source of food, money and many other things.
