Micheal Mutenza, an executive chef with Eureka Place Hotel says, various research indicates that carbonated drinks cause serious health issues to humans and as such, he advises to consider alternatives such as homemade fresh juice.
There are several types you can make from fruits that are affordable and readily available.
How to make the juice
You need three apples, preferably red ones, one mango, two passion fruits and a slice of watermelon.
Wash the fruits, peel the mango and cut it into sizeable pieces. Cut the apple and watermelon as well.
Slice the passion fruit in half and scoop out the flesh. Discard the seeds.
Blend or juice the fruits together and sieve.
Pour the juice into a glass, add some ice cubes and serve.
Watermelon is strong. It changes the other fruits to its colour.
Remember to add sugar if you need it.
