How To Grow Ginger

Ginger grows in fairly stony soils. The plants also require a lot of direct sunshine to blossom. This means that it is not advisable to plant it under trees.

All that is required is getting harvested ginger and breaking up the rhizomes into smaller pieces before covering them. Plant with the sprouting nodule facing up. This enables the ginger to grow faster.

Because ginger grows expansively in the ground, dig pits that are at least 2x2ft. It is not advisable to intercrop ginger with other crops, especially those that grow taller than it, because they would deny the plant access to the sun.

After nine to 12 months, the ginger will be ready to harvest.
