Farmers from all corners of the country gathered at the much-anticipated Harvest Money Expo to discover groundbreaking agricultural innovations that promise to transform the farming landscape.
The event which ran from February 14 and is ending today, is a must-attend for anyone in the agricultural sector because it offers a unique opportunity for farmers to explore cutting-edge farming technologies and equipment.

“This year’s theme, Farming as a Business, Value Addition and Cooperatives, is all about equipping farmers with the tools and knowledge to optimise their operations and boost profitability,” says Lawrence Kayiwa, a sales personnel at Case IH tractors.
One of the standout features of the expo is the introduction of smart agriculture equipment that allows farmers to manage their operations directly from their mobile phones.
“With our new tractor technology, you don’t need an operator; simply use your phone to control everything,” Kayiwa explains. “Farmers can track and optimise their yields with just a few clicks, making their work easier and more efficient.”

The Harvest Money Expo isn’t just about innovative machinery; it’s about empowering farmers with knowledge.
“In addition to the technological breakthroughs, we shall give significant discounts and promotional offers on all equipment, available exclusively during the three-day event,” he emphasised.
Attendees can participate in hands-on workshops covering sustainable farming practices, data-driven agriculture, and advanced irrigation techniques.
“I am impressed by the machinery and the technology on display. The possibility of reducing labour costs while increasing efficiency is exciting,” says Emmanuel Mukisa, a first-time attendee and a local farmer in Luwero.

Juliana Ankunda, a communications’ officer at Uganda Development Cooperation (UDC), one of the sponsors of the expo, emphasises the importance of the event in fostering economic growth.
“We are here to connect farmers with resources that will help them access markets and increase their revenue. Farmers can gain invaluable insights into how to navigate the entire agricultural value chain,” she states.
With over 200 exhibitors showcasing the latest products and services, Vision Group’s Harvest Money Expo offers something for every farmer. Whether you are seeking state-of-the-art machinery, irrigation solutions, or financial services to scale your farm.

This year’s expo is being sponsored by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Uganda, Engineering Solutions Ltd. (Engsol), K-ROMA (Bella Wine), Tunga Nutrition, Uganda Development Corporation (UDC), Pepsi Cola, and aBi Development.
