Vision Group’s annual Harvest Money Expo scheduled for next week at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds will feature exhibitions, and over 24 training sessions from experts and best farmers.

The expo is sponsored by the Netherlands Embassy, Champrisa International, Engineering Solutions Ltd (ENGSOL), Uganda Warehouse Receipting System, National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS) and Upfront Partners.

The manager at ENGSOL, Willy Mwesigwa, said as their company celebrates 22 years of good business in Uganda, they are excited to be part of the expo.

“Since we started working with Vision Group we have seen their sales and profi tability growing, as well as their impact and contribution to the agricultural sector,” Mwesigwa said.

He added that the expo has continuously provided them with opportunities to not only showcase their affordable technologies but also reach out to a wide range of customers.

“We are very happy and excited to inform the general public and the international community that we are coming with more exiting offers during the three-day expo to make sure that whoever wants to mechanise and modernise agriculture has an opportunity through this year’s Harvest Money Expo,” he said.

Farmers will be availed with the latest knowledge, such as machinery aimed at promoting the quality of milk for those in dairy farming.

The Harvest Money Expo bringstogether all the sector players in agriculture from input dealers, machinery and technology, fi nance and insurance companies, to research and policy makers.

ENGSOL devotes to being part of the expo and other agriculture-related events that aim at promoting and developing the sector in Uganda.

Buy Uganda, Build Uganda

Mwesigwa said ENGSOL, right from the start, believed in the notion ‘buy Uganda and build Uganda’, as it fabricates implements such as trays, water tanks which makes them affordable for the public.

“Our tractors are much more affordable compared to other players because we have ready parts. Our after sales department is fully functional, we also have a 24/7 mobile service team to come right to your farm and service your machine,” he said.

Mwesigwa added that they offer operator training free of charge since many tractors are ruined by operators who don’t know what to do.

“Tractor operation training services in Uganda are not readily available even in driving schools which leaves the training role in the lands of the tractor’s suppliers. Therefore, the Government should deal with suppliers who have capacity to train operators,” he added.

Mwesigwa said they give a warranty to the farmers where they repair and service the tractors for at least two years.

He urged the public not to miss out on the expo and attain the variety of skills that will be showcased at the three-day event
