Dr. Karin Boven the Netherlands Ambassador in Uganda says that as it has been the norm, the Netherlands will create a Dutch village that brings experts in several sectors that will conduct master classes the three days of the expo.
“The Dutch pavilion also houses the best farmers who will also be sharing their experiences and best practices that will help you transform your farms, beneficiaries of the projects like food security and those for the youths like the Say project who will also share experiences and show opportunities that farmers can tap into” she adds.
Buizer says that the Dutch village brings experts in several sectors that will conduct master classes the three days of the expo and the workshop to create more space for those who will visit the expo to share and learn from the Dutch as well as create business connections.
He explains that they plan to create a waste collection center right at the Dutch village where they will also be recycling the waste at the instant to show visitors how they can turn the waste into useful resources as they save the environment.
According to Byaruhanga, at the Dutch village, there will be business training under which experts will be showing farmers and traders the quality and standard requirements for the international market, especially in the Netherlands. “They will also share contacts of buyers,” he says.
He thus argues with everyone in the agriculture business to save the dates of the Expo but also make sure they pass by the Netherlands village to share the information and opportunities from the Netherlands embassy and its partners.
In addition, there are projects and programs aimed at interest youths into agriculture as a business by the embassy. Therefore, youths who are interested in agriculture as a business must not miss the expo because there are a lot of opportunities that will help them make their agribusinesses profitable.
