Travelling all the way from Arua, Benson Amandu, a farmer, is grateful to Vision Group for organising the Harvest Money Expo at Namboole Stadium.

Amandu arrived in Kampala on Thursday to prepare for the expo. He learned about the news through social media, friends, and the radio. Speaking with the New Vision, Amandu said he hopes to spend over sh500,000 on lodging, refreshments, and transport, but he does not regret it.

“With the knowledge I have got, I know I will recoup my money back soon,” he says. Amandu claims that the training has opened his eyes, enabling him to increase the yields from his farm.

“The bee farming training was fantastic, I have 24 bee hives. I wanted to know how to clean them, and the training in beekeeping has helped in doing that,” said Amandu.

Amandu reveals that those who have not attended the expo are missing out on a lot. He advises them to spend money where they can profit, like at the harvest expo. The event was sponsored by ENGSOL, ABI, Bella Wine, Uganda Development Cooperation, Tunga Nutrition, and Pepsi in partnership with the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
