About two million liters of milk produced in the cattle corridor of Nakaseke district is being poured daily after floods caused by the current torrential rains have damaged bridges and submerged several major roads in the area.
Business has come to a standstill after several rivers and streams in the district have burst their banks as a result of the incessant heavy rains which intensified this month.
Most affected is northern Nakaseke constituency the floods have washed away two bridges , cutting off Ngoma military training school and the entire sub county of Kinyogoga.
Northern Nakaseke constituency accounts for over 80 percent of the cows in Nakaseke.
According to the area Member of Parliament, Enoch Nyongore, the predominantly cattle keeping residents no longer have access to markets.
