It is true there is money in beekeeping but my worry is how one with no capital can harvest that money? I started beekeeping with one local hive but currently have 13 colonised ones. However, can one harvest money from these hives or it needs a little more investment if one is to realise some profits?
Unfortunately, you do not say in which part of the country your bee project is located because different areas have different conditions. All the same, 13 hives is a good start, and you can harvest some money from the different bee products ranging from honey, propolis and wax.
For starters, I would advise you to get a bee calendar to guide you on important activities like harvesting, which must be done at the right time if you are to get maxi[1]mum yields. Ideally, you should harvest twice a year. In between the harvests, you should regularly inspect your hives to ensure they are comfortable.
