Miracle Center Cathedral senior Pastor, Robert Kayanja has urged Ugandans to plant food in plenty so as fight and end hunger in the country.

“Uganda needs to grow food in abundancy, which cannot be done using old technology. For example, Karamoja and other farmers use oxen in ploughing yet these animals are slow at cultivating and digging,” Kayanja said.

Kayanja said this while flagging off tractors aimed at transforming the livelihood of the suffering Karamojongs at Miracle Centre Catherdal, in Lubaga. Clothes were also given out to the desperate.

He said that Uganda is in the centre of all the East African countries, and there is a need to be exemplary by producing produce food in plenty so as to reserve some for the needy brothers and sisters from other sub regions of the country, Karamoja being one of them.

“We need to double our efforts not to sabotage agriculture and animal husbandry bearing in mind that we are central of all the East African countries. We need to produce in excess to ensure that at least every child can have an egg and a cup of milk every morning” Kayanja said.
