The Vision Group’s best farmer winners have started an association aimed at bringing all the winners together to share experiences and work on their challenges.
The move was spearheaded by the 2023 best farmers. The association which will be named ‘Uganda Best Farmers Association’, will be led by Henry Lugoloobi (2023 best farmer) as its interim chairman and the Netherlands Ambassador to Uganda, H.E Frederieke Quispel, as the interim patron.
This was revealed by the 2023 best farmers who had paid a courtesy visit to Vision Group’s head offices in Kampala today (Thursday, November 21).
Lugoloobi thanked Vision Group and all the sponsors of the Best Farmer competition for this initiative which has impacted the agricultural sector in Uganda.
“Because of this initiative, people now look at farming as a business,’ he added.
Don Wanyama, the Vision Group’s CEO promised continued support to the activities of the association which according to him, is a win for Vision Group since it indicates that the initiative is positively impacting communities.
