The 2023 Best Farmers are in the Netherlands for a weeklong tour. Yesterday (Monday, October 14) they visited a research garden at HAS training institute in Den and Bosch Koudjis bv nutrition factory in Ravenstein.
Koudjis bv nutrition is one of the sponsors of the Best Farmers competition.
While at the HAS training institute, the farmers were trained on the importance of organising trainings at their farm.
“I have seen the technology that these farmers use. Of course, it is not easy to get that technology but we are picking out what we can adopt back at home,” said Henry Lugolobi, one of the farmers.
“My pick on the first day is how these people are so keen on every detail of their produce. They plant at the right time, use fertilizers at the right time and harvest at the right time,” said Pamela Bakabulindi, another farmer.
HAS training institute offers Bachelor’s degrees in agriculture to students from across the world.
